Nashville Fever was formed in the early 1980's. They later changed the name to Fever and have been constantly working the country music scene in both the United Kingdom and overseas. On their self-titled album, they are: Jimmy Kean, rhythm guitar, lead singer/songwriter; Roy Bell, lead guitar, pedal steel, synthesizer; Ali Thorn, bass guitar, vocals; Ken Dunning, drums, vocals. Several other brilliant session musicians rounded out the album: Randy Wensel, piano/keyboards; Randy Elmore, fiddle; Maurice Anderson, steel guitar and co-producer with Patrick McGuire.

Fever's success has been highlighted with many Club and National Awards as well as with no less than four nominations in both the 1995 and 1996 Great British Country Music Awards. Since the late 1980's Fever has toured the USA, which included live shows in Nashville and they have performed at numerous festivals not only in the United Kingdom but in Switzerland, Belgium, the Floralia festival in Holland and Malta.

In 1993 Fever experienced a change of lead vocalists when then lead singer, Colin Ford, decided not to return to the band after vocal chord surgery. Jimmy Kean who had been living in Texas returned to Britain and became the lead singer/songwriter for the band.

JIMMY KEAN  Said by many to have one of the best voices in British Country Music, Jimmy was born in Scotland. Having much experience playing leading roles in The West End of London in such productions as Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar and Les Miserables, Jimmy brought a phenomenal stage presence and vocal passion to Fever. An accomplished songwriter, Jim Kean co-wrote 'If I Could Hold Back The Night' nominated for song of the year in the 1996 Great British Country Music Awards.  ROY BELL  On the Fever Album, Roy Bell brought a unique blend of rock, jazz, blues and country styles as the band's lead guitarist. During live performances Roy's showmanship and great sense of humor had the audience on their feet and dancing into the night.  ALl THORN  Ali is the superb bassist of Fever, performing with a drive and energy that is sure to please. His voice both as lead and blending smooth harmonies with his bandmates is always a pleasure for the crowd.  KEN DUNNING  Ken started playing country music in his hometown of London. Later, tiring of a large city, he moved to the English countryside thereby connecting him to the music he had loved all of his life even more so. Ken's driving beat has played with some of the best country bands around his hometown of London and like Ali his vocals are always an audience pleaser.

Sadly, in 1996, there was another change in the Fever lineup. After the critical acclaim of the Fever Album, the many award nominations and awards won, after the many tours and the long hours, Jimmy Kean had to leave the band due to health reasons and Roy Bell passed away after a battle with cancer.

Fever has climbed and conquered many mountains in it's lengthy career and the band shows no sign of retiring.
